Our team had the opportunity to partner with some very innovative thinkers to design offerings for students that were “born digital”. We asked ourselves, “What do students really want for digital learning products? The answer was fast, easily-accessed information and practice opportunities for topics they could easily search for.

In 2008, we were asked to consult with a software company that was having trouble keeping making sure the right hand knew what the left hand was doing. The Engineering team was embracing Agile development with panache, but the Marketing team was staying too many steps behind, losing important insight into the details of features and fixes. After a qualitative investigation into the patterns and practices of both teams, we co-designed a Wiki that engineers and marketers populated and leveraged for up-to-data communications.
In 2011, the job market was a depressing scene for many job seekers. We worked with one organization who had an impressive vision to meet the needs of displaced workers by providing the most timely, efficient, cost-effective training that would give people leverage when applying for high-demand roles in healthcare, technology, HVAC, and other industries. In less than 2 years, over 100 digital courses went live, providing certification prep to hands-on practical knowledge.
A picture is worth a thousand words, and in learning settings, images often make or break comprehension. InfoGraphics are visual representations of complex information or data. The purpose is to improve cognition by connecting patterns and trends that are easier to grasp visually. When concepts become complex, we use infographics to provide anchors for learners in the context and framework of the experience, while allowing for deep exploration on the learner’s part.
